20 Installing the Software

Allowing Remote Clients to Dial into the RAS Server

By default, remote clients do not have permission to dial into the RAS server; you

must explicitly enable dialin permission for remote clients.

Note For information on setting up user accounts, see the Microsoft

documentation.

To enable dialin permission:

1. Click the “Start” button and select “Run”.

2. In the Run dialog box, type rasadmin.

The RAS Administrator opens.

3. From the “Users” menu, select “Permissions”.

4. From the Remote Access Permissions dialog box, select a user and check

“Grant dialin permission to user”.

5. Click “OK”.

6. Exit from the RAS Administrator.
