Note on Call Bumping

If ISDN Call Waiting is disabled, Call Bumping will not occur, as MultiLink PPP uses the Call

Waiting signalling information from your service provider to determine if it should release a

B-channel to accomodate an incoming voice call. For more information on Call Bumping, see

“General Tab”

on page 38.

The DIVA T/A’s Call Waiting is enabled

But both B-channels are in use

•

The second call receives a busy signal, as the DIVAT/A’s

internal Call Waiting requires a free B-channel in order

to hold the call.

One B-channel is free!

You will hear a Call Waiting alert.

The second call occupies the available B-channel.

Call switching is handled by the DIVAT/A.
